Designing and execution of construction works for the Babina Gora Waste Management Center
Project description
In order to establish an integrated waste management system in Karlovac County, the western part of Sisak-Moslavina County and the northeastern part of Lika-Senj County, the construction of a waste management center (hereinafter: CGO) Babina gora and four transfer stations (in Karlovac, Ogulin, Podum (Otočac) and Slunj) was proposed.
The plant must be designed in such a way as to use the most modern technologies, which in the future will be adapted to the processing of separately collected fractions of waste, including biodegradable waste, in order to increase the rate of recycling and biological treatment of municipal waste. The concept of a waste management center does not exclude primary selection, which must become and remain the basis of responsible waste management in the Republic of Croatia.
